Invitation to contribute to Energy Nexus special issue - Pumped-hydro as An Energy Storage Option
2025-03-24

Energy Nexus, an interdisciplinary journal that covers the deep, broad, meaningful convergence between energy, water, and agriculture, is pleased to invite hydropower experts to contribute to a special issue of the journal, Pumped-hydro as an energy storage option.

This special issue seeks to publish new research and innovative industrial case studies on pumped-storage technologies and developments. Manuscripts will be due by 30 July 2025. You can read the full special issue scope here.

Publishing in a special issue can bring many rewards. For example, it enables you to share your expertise and increase knowledge in your field, while expanding your network. In addition, your article will be featured on ScienceDirect, the world’s leading discovery platform of peer-reviewed literature, optimizing opportunities to reach your community. In fact, research shows that publishing in a special issue can increase the visibility of your paper and generate more citations. This is partly because special issues are themed, making your work easier for readers to find, both now and in the future. For industrial companies it is an opportunity to showcase new technologies, their application, and successful industrial case studies.

Energy Nexus is currently offering a 30% discount on the cost of the article publishing charge (APC) for all papers published in this special issue.

Please do read more about the issue and submit your manuscript here, and feel free to reach out to guest editor Yiying Xiong (yiying.xiong@wisc.edu) with any questions.

Cheers,
