XI GENERAL INFORMATION
1 Venue and Accommodation
The study tour is to be held in the Three Gorges Project (TGP) Hotel, in the dam site, Yichang , China . The Lectures are given in the No.2 meeting room, third floor of Nayunlou Building .
Participants are accommodated in the Nayunlou Building and Zhenchunlou Building .
The Workshop is to be held in the No.2 meeting room of third floor of TGP Hotel.
Lunches are served in the dinning halls on the 1st floor of Nayunlou Building .
The culture evening party will be held on the lawn behind the Nayunlou Building .
2 Lift Service
Yichang Airport : Free lift service will be provided on August 7 according to the arrival time and flight number provided by the participants.
Yichang Train Station: Free lift service will be provided on August 7 according to the arrival time and train number provided by the participants.
Public Transportation: No.8 TGP bus line connects TGP dam site to Yemingzhu, entrance of TGP special speedway in Yichang City . A bus stop is in front of Nayunlou Building , TGP Hotel, and bus ticket costs RMB 10 Yuan per person.

On the morning of August 15, the organizers will send participants to Wuhan Airport and Train Station according to their departure time. Participants are kindly requested to inform the administrative coordinator the leaving time and flight/train number.
1.3 Registration
On-site registration will be available from 15:00 to 22:30 on Sunday, August 7, from 7:30 to 18:00 on Monday, August 8.
The registration desk is in the lobby of Nayunlou Building for serving the participants. Registration participants will have a bag with the lecture notes, brochure of IRTCES, CD proceedings of the 9 th ISRS, DVD on the 9 th ISRS, souvenir, invitations for the reception and banquet, tickets for the luncheons, name tags and other printing materials.

1.4 Information Board
Information boards are placed in the administrative coordinator's room for messages and announcements issued by the organizer. Any message sent to the participants via organizer will be posted on this board. Participants may send email message or visit internet websites and make preparation for their presentations at least 2 hours before presentation in coordinator's room.
1.5 Other Services
The major credit cards (VISA) are accepted by the TGP Hotel. Currency exchanges for US dollar, UK pound, Euro and Japanese Yen to Chinese RMB are available in the Hotel. Please contact reception desk of the hotel for further information.
The participants may make international calls and internet connection from their rooms at the regular price. Please contact the reception desk of the hotel if participants need these services available.
The participants may ask business center of the TGP Hotel for reserving air and train tickets and reconfirmation of air tickets.
The participants for medical treatment service and first-aid may directly contact clinic of the Hotel in their own cost.
Brochures and printing materials related to the technical and information brought by the participants may be presented on the publication exchange desk of the coordinator's Room. The printing materials will be distributed through organizers.
1.6 Instruction for Speakers
The speakers should contact their session chairs before their presentation. They are also expected to check the technical aspects of their presentation with technical assistant in charge.
The speakers are requested to submit their presentation files in room before their presentation. The staff member is in charge of dispatching the files to the computer.
The speakers should consult the announcements posted by the coordinator on the information board located in the coordinator's room in order to be informed about the last minute changes concerning their presentation schedule.
1.7 Instructions for Session Chairs
The success of the workshop depends largely on the smooth running of the technical sessions, and on the atmosphere created by the chairs and participants:
1 The chairs of a session are required to meet and discuss with each other on how to share the duties.
2 The session chairs are in charge of the schedule. Depending on the number of presentations in their session, the chairs should allot roughly equal amount of time to all speakers for the presentation. At the beginning of the session, the chair should announce the time allotted to each presentation and for discussion. If desired, the chairs may also reserve a short time at the end of the session to make their closing remarks.
3 The presentation information in the session is provided to the session chairs. Before each presentation, one of the chairs introduces the speaker.
4 After each presentation, the chairs encourage discussions if time allowed.
1.8 Name Tags
Participants are requested to wear their name tag when they take part in study tour activities. Please inform the Coordinator immediately if the name tag is lost. The name and the country information are printed on the name tags. |
