This morning, Chairman of UNESCO-IHP-ISI Steering Committee, Prof. Manfred Spreafico and Dr. Michael F. Baumgartner, Director of MFB-GeoConsulting GmbH ( Switzerland ) visited the IRTCES and had a friendly talk and discussion about Secretariat of ISI and information system of ISI with Prof. Wang Zhaoyin, Mrs. Tong Yuling, Dr. Wang Yangui and Dr. Liu Cheng of IRTCES. Prof. Manfred Spreafico expressed his satisfactory with the work of ISI undertaken by the IRTCES and appreciated support of IRTCES to ISI.

During the talk and discussion, Prof. Spreafico also gave a brief account on sediment related training activities conducted by the organizations in the regions of South American and European and expressed his hope to strengthening exchange between IRTCES and those organizations in the future.
